Charles A. Edinger Jr., 87, peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 28,

2025, at his home with his devoted wife by his side. Originally from Philadelphia, he worked as an international auditor for Cigna, Aetna, and Monarch of MA. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.


He is survived by his wife, Carol (Grygo) Edinger; his daughters Julie and Carolann; his son Dominic; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and his sister Patricia and family. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sharon.

My dad was a dedicated and hard-working man who gave me so much-his example, his values, and his love. He taught me the importance of going after what you want and working hard for it. Watching him attend night classes at Widener University while supporting our family inspired me to pursue my own path in education, eventually earning my degrees in teaching.


He also gave me my love of reading, something I carry with me every day. When I was little and he traveled for work, he always made sure to bring back a special doll from each country he visited. I still have that collection and every doll holds a memory of his thoughtfulness.
