Robert H. Boulanger
May 9, 1948 - September 3, 2022
A long time resident of Southington, Connecticut, now residing in Bristol, Robert passed away from complications resulting from open heart surgery. He was 74 years old. He leaves behind his wife, Adele Testa Boulanger and their three children: Christine Landeen Gary and Scott Gary of Thomaston, CT, Robert Boulanger III and Lygia Boulanger of Middlefield, CT, and Sarah Kassey and Mike Kassey of Bristol, CT.
He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Ashlynn and Kimberly Cyr, Alexa Monahan, Giuliana and Francesca Boulanger, and Jaxson and Maxwell Kassey. He was also blessed with two great grandchildren: Brooklyn Comeau and Novalee Maillet.
He was predeceased by his parents: Robert and Rita Boulanger from Southington, CT. He also leaves behind three brothers and their wives: William and Chris Boulanger of Placida, FL, David and Maryrose Boulanger of Southington, CT, and Jim and Rose Boulanger of Goodyear, AZ. He also left behind several nieces and nephews.
Robert, “Bobby” to his family and close friends, loved his family and his old ’53 Harley which he enjoyed working on and maintaining until his health began to fail.
Robert served in the U.S. Army for two years as a generator repair specialist in the early 70’s and was honorably discharged. He worked for Pratt and Whitney for a number of years until he became disabled.
A memorial service will be held at the Calvary Life Church in Cheshire, CT, on September 16, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. Immediately following the service, he will be buried at St. Thomas Cemetery followed by a “Celebration of Life” luncheon at Mt. Southington’s Mountain Room.
