Here is a short explanation of the process.

Call Abbey Cremation Service when a loss of a loved one occurs.

We will transfer your loved one to our home.

Signatures and Vital information are required from the Next of Kin in order for cremation to take place (no meeting is required).

The Death Certificate will be signed by the attending physician or medical examiner.

Death Certificate will be filed with the Town Clerk’s office in the town your loved one passed away in.

Cremation paperwork will be filed.

The cremation will take place after the state mandated 48 hour holding period.
