Adella T. Wrobleski, 92, of Manchester, Connecticut died Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital with her family by her side. Adella was born February 23, 1931 in Turners Falls, Massachusetts to the late Rose and Wilfred Chartier. She is pre-deceased by her loving sister; Rita, of Ocala, Florida, and her brother; Ray, of Windsor, Missouri. She met her husband, Edward, at a roller skating rink in Deerfield, Massachusetts; they married and moved to Connecticut and raised their daughter, Mary.
Adella worked as an Executive Assistant for many years. Her spirited disposition and her “In Charge” way of life taught Mary “To always be prepared”. Adella was a strong believer in volunteering and advocated the benefits of a Catholic Education. She was on the Board at the Jimmy Fund and volunteered yearly at the St. James Church Fair. Family and friends will always remember her zest and joy for life, her love of playing cards at the South Windsor and Vernon Senior Centers, her strength, infectious laughter and her loving guidance.
Adella was preceded in death by her husband in 2000. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Mary, and many nieces, nephews and their families.
A beautiful life celebration was held on Saturday, July 15th, 2023 at 11 A.M at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 29 Sugarloaf Street, Deerfield, Massachusetts 01373. A wonderful lunch occurred at the Whately Inn with family and friends. Adella is buried in the Wroblewski Area at the Church’s Cemetery. Adella would like all donations sent to the Attention of Father Aufiero in her memory at The Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 29 Sugarloaf Street, Deerfield, MA. 01373. The donations should note “For the Building Fund”.
