Anatole (Tony) Kolaczenko 77, passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 6th 2021 surrounded by the love and comfort of his family in his home in Newington.
He was born in the Ukraine on January 5th 1944. He was the son of the late Iwan and Kateryna Kolaczenko. He attended schools in Hartford and Wethersfield. He retired from the Wethersfield board of education in 2009. Most people will remember Tony as a jack of all trades who always had a smile on his face. He never passed on an opportunity to help someone in need. He loved restoring arcade games and working on cars. When he wasn’t working on his next creative project he was most likely having long conversations or joking with friends and family. He enjoyed staying out late playing setback on the weekends with friends. He also loved to travel to New Hampshire for his family vacations.
Left to cherish his memory forever is his devoted wife Suzanne Kolaczenko. He was a loving father to Nicole K Foster and Nina Correia. An adoring grandfather to Angelina, AJ, Alicia, Ayden, Ava and a great grandfather to Aubrey. From a previous marriage He leaves behind Laurie Preste, Aaron Kolaczenko along with 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Tony was predeceased by his son Roger Kolacezko. He was also a caring brother to Dmytri Kolaczenko and Grace Mackey with many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by so many.
A memorial celebration will be held and announced when all are able to safely travel and gather together. Contributions can be made in Anatoles name to the Pancreatic Cancer Society.
