Ardeth (Erickson) Johnson, 87, entered the glorious presence of her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on September 29, 2023. Having accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior as a young girl in Illinois, her family rejoices that she is now eternally living in His presence. Ardeth attended Swedish Covenant Hospital School of Nursing (Chicago) followed by the University of Illinois, where she met her husband, William Johnson. After working as a nurse for a few years, she became a full-time homemaker following the birth of her children. Ardeth lived in ten states and one foreign country, and resided in Connecticut since 1998, most recently at Covenant Living of Cromwell. Following Bill’s retirement, she and Bill served on several short-term mission trips in Papua New Guinea, Swaziland, Cameroon, Japan, and Honduras. She is predeceased by her parents and four siblings. She is survived by her husband, William Johnson; son, Timothy (Susan) Johnson; daughter, Rebecca (Peter) May; and brother, Charles Erickson. A memorial service will be held at Central Baptist Church, Southington, CT, at a later date.
