Arthur Neil Petti aged 66 passed away on July 3,2024 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT.
Born and raised in Manhattan NY, the Bronx, later moved to Katonah NY where he enjoyed many adventures growing up in the country.
Art’s life was marked by his profound dedication to his family and his passions. He was the Beloved husband of Jennifer Ainsworth Petti and a Devoted Father to Lauren (Lilianna), Kristin (Noah) and Jason Petti ( Cameron, Tiffany). His Grandchildren Noah and Lilianna brought immense Joy to his life. Arthur was predeceased by his father, John Petti, and is survived by his mother Delores Petti, his brother John, his sisters Lucia Dunscomb and Jenine Grillo, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Art was a man whose presence was a Blessing to all who knew him. A Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Art served 6 years with distinction & honor as an Aircraft Crew Chief, a role that spoke volumes of his leadership and technical acumen. His military service was a significant chapter in his life, reflecting his dedication and love for his country.
Art was a man of many talents and interests. He was an accomplished craftsman, artist and handyman - you could always count on art to fix just about everything. He loved to design unique Cloisonne’ and Stained-glass pieces. A naturalist at heart, he was as an avid Aquarist, maintaining impressive Saltwater fish and coral tanks, plus, Brackish (African Cichlids) tanks.
Arthur liked to play video games on his computer, a long run time with EverQuest, and games with his grandson and daughter which showcased his playful spirit and technical savvy. He enjoyed watching a numerous Genre of movies, his all-time favorites being the Jurassic Park collection, Godzilla and Aliens trilogies. He was the type of man that poured his whole heart into every endeavor, including remodeling and constructing a gorgeous custom home that stands as a testament to his craftsmanship, perfectionism and most importantly, the love and devotion he had for his family.
Arthur was a lifelong learner with a voracious appetite for knowledge, often found listening to audible books, particularly about the origin of the Universe, Mankind and Physics. His career as an I T team leader for Wells Fargo Securities only further demonstrated his motivation, wide ranging knowledge and technical skills, and his ability to master complex challenges.
Art was unmatched in his talent as a critic and the comic. He could find humor in just about everything, always quick witted with a joke or a funny comical song to sing, he found pride and joy in his effortless humor to make everyone laugh. He could light up a dark room as he truly was the life of the party with his Epic stories! He was a collector of precious objects, a creature of habit, being very particular how he placed and managed his things.
Arthur was indeed The Light of Our Lives, our Rock and our Hero, a man whose legacy of love and unique qualities will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him. He will be forever cherished and deeply missed, though his impact will forever endure in the hearts of his family and friends.
I’m so sorry to hear about Art. Jennifer and Arthur have such a beautiful love. I know he is watching over all of you.

I was so sorry to hear about Arthur’s passing. He was such a unique and kind-hearted man. I’ll always cherish the fun memories of spending summers in Katonah with him. My heart goes out to your family during this difficult time.
Art was a delightful individual whose knowledge touched on a plethora of topics and whose heart spilled out to offer help and advice to those fortunate enough to have known him.
