Barbara Lee Williams

In memory of Barbara Lee Williams (née Luzier), born September 7, 1943, in Montgomery Township, Pennsylvania. Barbara graduated high school, later marrying David Williams in 1962; they divorced after 13 years. She was one of 13 siblings, with Joseph Luzier as her only surviving sibling. Barbara passed away on January 11, 2026, in Canton, Connecticut.


She is survived by her daughter Anna Smyth and husband Roger Smyth, grandchildren David and Rheannon Smyth; her son Joseph Williams, wife Sharon Williams, and their daughters Lauren Jacobson, Katelyn Williams, and Janice Williams; and her chosen granddaughter Jessica Clark and husband Justin. Barbara also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including sisters: Kathy Vandine, Barbara Malburg and her daughter Barbara, Robin Tates (deceased), Janice Moreland; and her niece Amy Luzier-Mahtany with children Diya, Anjali, and Neel.


Throughout her life, Barbara worked in various roles, including waitress, school bus driver, and as a member of the Laborers International Union of North America of Pittsburgh, PA, Local 1058, she worked heavy construction on highways and mostly on the many bridges in Pittsburgh and the surrounding area.  After an accident, she relocated to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, enjoying many years with family and friends visiting regularly. In her later years, she returned to Connecticut to care for aging relatives.


A devoted Steelers fan, Barbara was known for her enthusiasm and often was heard yelling at the TV during football games. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
