Beverly Jean (Davis) Longo

Beverly Jean (Davis) Longo (b. 10/15/1935) passed away peacefully at home on January 8th, 2024. Her daughter, Lisa Longo, was at her side. Beverly was born in Springfield, MA and lived in Suffield, CT for over forty years. She was a proud graduate of St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing. While working as a nurse, she met her future husband, Eugene Longo. The two were married for over fifty years and traveled the world together; Italy was always their favorite destination. Beverly helped Gene to launch and grow his aviation business, Adams Industries, headquartered in Suffield, CT. The greatest joy of Beverly’s life was her three grandchildren: Cristina, Sabrina, and Joseph. Every Friday night, “Gram” would have her family over for homemade clam sauce, a tradition that she upheld for decades.

Beverly and her beloved sister Barbara raised their families together. Every Friday in the summer, the two of them would get their combined six children in the car and drive to Rhode Island. On their way home each week, the two of them somehow managed to always get lost.

Beverly was a big lover of animals. Most of all, Beverly cherished dogs and horses. For most of her adult life, Beverly had miniature schnauzers; she could often be found walking them on Main Street in Suffield. One of Beverly’s greatest passions in life was watching Cristina ride horses. The two of them traveled the country together for the equestrian circuit; for years, Gram was a staple at the horse show ring.

Beverly cared deeply for the people in her life and made the lives of those around her better. She loved good food, politics, reading, and Italy. Above all else, Beverly loved her family; she treasured them with all her heart and soul. She will be greatly missed by all, including her two German Shepherds, Miss Adele and Usher, her grand dogs, Stormy and Reggie, and her German Shepherd friend, Eli.
