Bridged Saimeri Mengden, 66, of Windsor, CT passed away peacefully at Hartford Hospital on June 13, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Bridged was born August 17, 1955, in Hartford, CT to Salvatore Saimeri and Joyce Cignoni Saimeri of West Springfield, MA. She married the love of her life, the late Franz Albert Mengden, whom she was married to for 44 years. Bridged fulfilled her longtime ambition, when she graduated with honors from Dean Technical Institute in 1993, becoming a licensed nurse in MA and CT. She was loved by her patients and respected by her peers during her years working in nursing homes. After many dedicated years working in the healthcare industry, Bridged retired from Alexandria Manor in Bloomfield, CT. Bridged was a strong, hard-working woman who always had a positive outlook on life. She could always be seen with a smile on her face, especially when she was with her family. She was a dedicated wife and mother of three that always put her family first, doing everything she could to ensure that everyone was taken care of and had what they needed. Bridged was a devoted and loving grandmother, giving all that she could to her grandchildren who she loved and cherished.
Bridged leaves behind three children. Son, Erik Mengden and significant other Briana Melloni, and sons Angelo and Michael of West Springfield, MA. Son, Michael Mengden and daughters Annabelle, Elizabeth and Charlotte, along with their mother Kimberly Mengden of East Hartford, CT. Daughter, Samantha Alfonso and husband James Alfonso, and children Zoe and James Thomas of Windsor, CT. Bridged is survived by her siblings Joseph Saimeri and significant other Jerelyn Welker, Daniel Saimeri and wife Patricia Saimeri, Kathleen Caruso and husband Joseph Caruso, Steven Saimeri and wife Lisa Saimeri, Theresa Saimeri-Smith and husband Robert Smith. She also leaves behind sister-in-law Ria Lutz of East Stroudsburg, PA and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her, and whom she loved.
