Lampke, Burkhart, age 95, of West Haven, the beloved husband to Ursula (Gries) Lampke, passed away peacefully on Friday September 9, 2022 at Connecticut Hospice with his loving family by his side.
He was born in Bremen, Germany on March 27, 1927 and immigrated to West Haven in the 1950s where he raised his two cherished daughters. He worked at Hummel Brothers Meats in the late 1950s and later started his own dental laboratory which he operated for over 50 years. Burkhart was an avid card player at the Harugari German Club where he loved socializing. When he wasn’t playing cards he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Ursula, daughters, Barbara (Thomas) Vollano, Susanne (Hans) Stockinger, and grandchildren, Christian Stockinger, Amanda and Nicolas Vollano.
A celebration of life will be held at the Harugari German Club 66 Highland Street, West Haven, CT 06516 on September 24, 2022 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Harugari German Club or to Connecticut Hospice 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
