Carole Joanne Renca, 74 of Chaplin, Connecticut, passed away on August 9, 2025. At the time of her passing, she was receiving hospice care at Hartford Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Alphonse R. Renca and Frances (Parciak) Renca of Portland, Connecticut.
Carole was a UConn alumna and an enthusiastic fan of the men's and women's UConn Huskies basketball teams. She raced motorcycles in the 1990s, operated an exercise business, and pursued a modeling career. She was an outstanding baker who always surprised her family and friends with an array of sweet desserts for every holiday. Her signature cheesecake was a family favorite.
Carole's sister, Judith Nocera, passed away in 2022. She is survived by her brother Robert Renca and his wife, Carole (Rizzo), brother-in-law Edward Nocera, and four nephews. These include Robert Nocera, his wife Samantha, and two daughters, Cassandra and Isabella; Jason Nocera, his wife Basia, and their daughter Maia; and Robert and Carole's sons Dylan Renca and his wife Martina, and Devin Renca and his wife Kayla.
