Celestino Ramos Pina

Celestino Ramos Pina, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully on Monday 24, 2025 at the age of 79. Celestino was born in Viseu, Portugal on November 30, 1945 to Maria Lurdes Pina and Mario Pina. Celestino served in the Portuguese Army in the Commandos Regiment for several years, and was a microfiche operator at Travelers Insurance until retirement. He was heavily involved in the Portuguese community in Connecticut, hosting his own Portuguese radio show, TV on the Portuguese Network in East Hartford, and was president of the Portuguese Club of Hartford in the 1980’s. He was a devoted husband to Gracinda Costa Martins Pina, a committed father to his children, Felisbela Pina Campbell and Rui Pina. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses, Grace and Sal Rizza, Carlos and Rosinda Pina, Mary and Danny Gaspar, and Joe Pina, his grandchildren, of which he was extremely loving of, Brandon and Yuka Campbell, Sarah Campbell, Joshua Campbell, Victoria Campbell, Kevin Pina, and Dylan Pina, his great granddaughter, Kaede Campbell, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Maria Lurdes and Mario Pina, his daughter, Anapaula Pina, his sister-in-law Maria Cabral Pina, his uncle Antonio Perneta, his aunt America Perneta, and his cousin Bella Perneta. A Catholic mass will be held in his honor on Saturday, March 29, at 11am at Our Lady of Fatima Church on 50 Kane St in Hartford, CT. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
