Charles George Crandall, 78, of Cromwell, CT, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at UConn John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington. He was the son of the late Charles and Helen Crandall.
Charles was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on December 16, 1947. He spent most of his life in Connecticut—living in Milford, Old Saybrook, Wallingford, and Cromwell. He also spent time in Tucson, Arizona, where he attended the University of Arizona.
Charles enjoyed his career with the Southern New England Telephone Company (SNET) and later AT&T, where he formed many of his closest friendships. He also served in the United States National Guard.
Outside of work, Charles loved being outdoors. He especially enjoyed golfing, dining out, and spending time by the ocean. He also loved gardening and took great joy in sharing the fresh tomatoes and string beans from his garden with family and friends.
Above all, Charles’s greatest purpose in life was to provide for and support his family. His love for them was unconditional, and he will be deeply missed.
