Charles Horn III, 68, passed away peacefully at the Hospital of Central Connecticut on August 11th, 2026. He was born on June 1st, 1958, in Canandaigua, New York, and spent his final years residing in Manchester, Connecticut.

Charles was predeceased by his loving parents, Betty and Charles Horn. He is survived by his son, Charles Horn IV, his girlfriend, Patty, and his sisters, Julie (Dan), Kim (Tom), and Dustie (Bill). He leaves behind a legacy of love and support that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Growing up in New York, Charles later moved to Pennsylvania, where he began his career as a truck driver at a young age. His passion for the open road led him to travel across the country, often recounting amusing tales of his journeys, particularly those spent in Texas.

A true outdoorsman at heart, Charles found joy and solace in fishing and spending time in nature. Through his hobbies, he discovered peace away from the hustle of life on the road. He was known for his resourcefulness, always ready to lend a helping hand or share his skills and knowledge with others.

In his later years, Charles made Connecticut his home and embraced family life when his son was born. He cycled through several towns in the later years before settling in Manchester in 2021. Retirement brought him the opportunity to enjoy short vacations, where he sought out moments of tranquility and, when fortune smiled, the opportunity to reel in a fish or two.

In remembering Charles, we celebrate a kind-hearted man whose spirit will remain with us, casting a long, comforting shadow on our lives. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.
