Christine Jennette 67 of Groton, CT passed away on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 with family by her side.
Christine greatly cared for her clients and colleagues and cherished working with them. They knew her as “CC”. Christine loved God, her family, and animals. Christine was truly a one of a kind woman with a distinctive laughter that brightened up a room with energy and love that she gave to all.
Christine was raised on a farm in Ennis, TX, and later moved to CT in the 1980s. Christine was country spirited at heart with an outspoken personality. She would engage in deep, meaningful conversations and just as easily tell jokes and be playful. She was a Cowboy’s fan and Yankees fan. Christine’s motto was ‘live your life’, her philosophy was to be happy and love all. Christine loved to drive, even if that meant driving from CT to TX and vice versa, sometimes non-stop. She was an independent woman who taught her children how to be strong as she shared the rich stories of her life with all of us.
Christine is predeceased by her father Santos Munguia, mother Guadalupe Munguia and brother Richard Munguia. Christine is survived by her daughters Lupe Herrera, Monica Povilonis, Mercedes Cartagena, and her sons Samuel Garcia, Ruben Herrera, and Abel Herrera. Christine adored and is survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Christine is also survived by 7 brothers and 2 sisters who still reside in TX.
Christine will be deeply missed and forever admired and loved.
