Christopher Angelo Benzi

Christopher Angelo Benzi, 83, of Durham Ct died Tuesday March 31^st in North Haven VA after a battle with Cancer. 

Mr. Benzi was born in Guilford Jan 13^th, 1943, son of Peter J Benzi Sr and Hazel V Benzi.

He served as a Police Officer and Dog Warden for the Guilford Police Department from 1964 until he retired in 1987 with a short stint in the Army due to being drafted in 1966-1968. He later retired as a school bus driver from the Durham School District in 2024.

He leaves behind two siblings Peter J Benzi Jr of Guilford and Voletah Austin of Avra Valley, AZ. He was predeceased by one brother Ralph Benzi and two sisters Linda Law and Vicki Lewis from Tucson, AZ. In addition, he is predeceased by his true companions; Smokey, Cindy, Nig, Ralph, Puppy, and Puppy II.

A celebration of life will be held at the Guilford Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) 104 Mill Rd Guilford, CT 16 May 2026 1:00 pm.
