Killingly – Claire J. Cusson, 88 of Killingly, died on June 19, 2020 at the Westview Health Care Center in the company of her daughter. She was born Sept. 30, 1931 in Killingly, daughter of Sinai and Yvonne (Paquette) Barrette. She married Victor Cusson on Oct. 15, 1949 in St. James Church; they had the pleasure of spending 61 years together before he died Oct. 28, 2009.
She was a communicate of St. James Church in Danielson. She was a manager for Durable’s and Fisher’s Big Wheel in Brooklyn. Her hobbies were bowling, reading, traveling, UConn Basketball and the New England Patriots. She loved spending time with her Grandsons at their sporting events as well with her Great Grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time at Cape Cod with the family.
She is predeceased by her parents and her brother Fred Barrette and sister Anita (Barrette) Griggs.
She leaves her son Ronald V. Cusson and his wife Linda, her daughter Jaye Cusson-Malone and her husband Frank. She also leaves her Grandsons, Jasen Cusson-Malone and his wife Kelly, Ronald Cusson II and his significant other Melanie, and Benjamin Cusson and his wife JoAnne. Her great grandchildren are Brooke and Sage Cusson-Malone, Collin, Gunner, Eden and Hannah Cusson. Claire is survived by her brother Norman L Barrette and her sister Lillian (Barrette) Rhodes as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
