Claudia Anne Whitney Quinn, age 81, died peacefully at her home in Enfield CT, surrounded by family and friends on June 8, 2023. She is predeceased by her brother Bernard. She is survived by her sister, Dianne, by her three children and their spouses: Kiminette and Paul, Brett and Lisa, Shawn and Dixie; her 5 grandchildren: Philip, Christopher, Whitney, Olivia, and Sam; 3 great grandchildren, and too many friends to count.
Claudia was born in Stafford Springs, CT in 1942, to parents Louise and Ernest Whitney. She married young and had three children with her late husband Philip F. Quinn. The greatest loves of her life were her family and her relationship with her God, Jehovah. She officially became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1971 and was able to become a full-time minister in 1992. She spent the last 50+ years doing what she loved--teaching others about her God. She touched the lives of many people in the years that she spent in her preaching and teaching work and loved her spiritual brothers and sisters dearly. She supported herself in her ministry as a window cleaner. She loved swimming, skiing, traveling, and a meticulously manicured lawn. She worked on many construction projects and was a skilled painter. She had more energy than all the young ones and loved to be productive. She brought much joy and love to those who knew her and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 322 North Maple Street, Enfield CT, 06082 on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM.
