It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Daren Dellaghelfa, who left us too soon on July 24, 2025, at the age of 50 in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.
Raised in Torrington, Daren spent his entire life rooted in the community he loved. A father, survived by his daughter, Kayla Dellaghelfa, and his five grandchildren: Shawn, Saint, Santino, T.J., and baby Londyn, born in November. Several Aunts and uncles who loved him deeply. He is also lovingly remembered by his partner, Rebecca Whalen, who brought him so much joy and companionship.
Daren had a deep love for the ocean and always dreamed of being laid to rest at sea. His family will be honoring that wish with a private ceremony at a later date, to be announced.
We take comfort in imagining Daren now doing what he loved most—deep sea fishing in heaven, with calm waters and endless skies.
He will be remembered for his sarcastic humor, his heart, and his unconditional love.
Rest in peace, Daren. I often think of the fun times Katrina and I had with you just driving around hanging out with Dan aka “Sammy the snake“ and the “ratboys” . Was so long ago, but seems like yesterday. Rest Easy
