She is also survived by two sisters Dolores(Dean) Piccoli of Naples, FL and Diana(Ted) Fiut of Meriden, CT and her best friend of 51 years Brenda Kempf and her daughter Alicia Kempf of Fairborn, OH. She also has many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends. Deborah was predeceased by her parents Gerald and Pauline Gowing, sisters Donna Jewel and Valerie Rosa, and niece Dawn Kittredge. Deborah was born on February 26, 1951 in Meriden, CT to Gerald and Pauline Gowing. She enjoyed cooking and baking and swore she would always take her donut recipe with her when she left. We still have yet to find it. She loved to craft, especially with her grandkids. She loved her QVC and often got so excited she would call and tell you to change the channel so you could watch with her. Deborah looked forward to her Saturday morning phone calls with Brenda in Ohio, lunches with her friends Jeannette, Kim, and Kathy, and long phone calls and visits with her friend Patty from VT. Everyone that knew her knew how much she loved her makeup. She never left the house without her lipstick on and made us promise that when her time came we would be sure she was wearing lipstick and that we did. These last few years she grew to love her neighbors and thought of them as family and very much appreciated everything they did for her. Above all else, she absolutely adored her dog, Lucy. She thought Lucy was the best company and even mentioned taking her for a walk in her final hour. We would like to thank the staff of Midstate ER and ICU for their wonderful and compassionate care of our mother, Deborah. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
