Deborah Manikas

Deborah "Deb" Manikas (62), of Cromwell, passed away on April 30, 2026, after a battle with cancer. Deb was born in Hartord, CT, 10/27/63. She graduated from South Catholic High and a ended MCC. Deb was employed by Travelers Insurance for 40 years. She worked in IT and most recently worked in PI Finance. During her me at Travelers she formed many special bonds with her coworkers.
Deb loved spending time with family & friends. She especially loved holidays and all the yearly family traditions. (pumpkin picking, gingerbread houses, karaoke and holiday dinners etc.) She enjoyed spending me with her grandnephews who she loved to the moon and back! Nothing beat attending their baseball/basketball games and spending quality me with them. She always said her greatest title in life was that of being "Auntie"! Her favorite and most tranquil place was the beach and spending me in Newport, RI.
She was predeceased by her parents: San na & Joseph Manikas, grandparents: Brigida & Joseph Randazzo, Alice & John Manikas, and brother-inlaw: Tom Faienza.
She leaves behinds her loving & caring siblings: Kim Faienza (Newington, CT), Joe Manikas (Euless, TX), two beautiful nieces and their spouses: Cristina Southward (Matt) from (Terryville, CT), Jess Faienza-Smeets (Diana) from (Netherlands), two grandnephews who were the "apple of her eye", Gianluca & Jameson Southward (Terryville, CT), Richard & Ann Manikas (Uncle/Aunt), Manikas/Plocki/Leon (cousins crew). Friends she referred to as "My circle" who she was blessed to have in her life, Travelers crew ("Best Team ever"). Special thanks to her best friend Maria Zawilinski (aka Ride or Die) for her loyalty, trust and laughter, along with her husband (Brian) for always being there with nothing but love & support.
Thank you to all her family & friends for all the support and love during this difficult journey. The calls, texts, visits and being able to work from home provided the much needed support and laugher to keep her going.
There will be no funeral services. Burial will be private. To honor Deb, just raise your glass and make a toast to something you are thankful for!!!
Enjoy every moment of life because it truly is precious. ❤
