Denise Diane DeTuccio

Denise Diane DeTuccio (Dee-Dee) passed away peacefully Wednesday April 22, 2026 surrounded by her family after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Denise grew up in the South End of Hartford attending Naylor School and South Catholic High School.In the early 80’s Dee attended Manchester Community College, where she attained her Associates Degree in Science-Respiratory Therapy.She then went on to complete Hartford Hospitals School of Allied Health respiratory therapy residency program.  She was a respiratory therapist in the emergency department at Hartford Hospital and flew with the Hartford Hospital Life Star team as a respiratory therapist in the mid 80’s.

Denise was also an EMT with Glastonbury Ambulance, Professional Ambulance and Maple Hill Ambulance.

Denise dedicated her life to medicine and helping others.

Denise was predeceased by her parents Natalie and David Sr. and is survived by her brother David Jr. and his wife Karren, Sister Doris and her partner Mike St. John.

Denise had such a love for her family, including all of her nephews and nieces.  Kyle and his Fiancée Ericka,  Alyssa, Shayne and his wife Alyssa, Chelsea and her husband Ryan, Erin and her husband Bill and their daughter Savannah as well as David III.

She loved the beach, needle point, sewing, cooking and bingo.

Denise will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Rocky Hill with a private funeral service.
