Diana M. “Tweetie” Anderson, 58, of Manchester, CT passed away on March 30, 2020 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. She was born in Hartford, CT on February 12, 1962 to the late Carl W. and Diana Anderson. Her adorable appearance as a baby earned her the nickname of Tweetie, a nod to Tweety Bird from Looney Tunes.
Though her appearance was adorable she was quite feisty and knew exactly what she wanted and when she wanted it. She enjoyed listening to headphones, shuffling paper, bubble baths, cheese sandwiches and hot cocoa, babies, “ho ho ho” (Santa) and a good “fishy sandwich” from McDonald’s.
Diana spent the last 30+ years at the Wetherell Street Group Home where she leaves behind many friends and caring staff members. She was predeceased by her best friend and roommate, Jane.
In addition to her parents, Diana was predeceased by her siblings Carl F. Anderson and Patricia Cramer. She is survived by her aunt, Shirley Cariglio of Richmond, California; as well as siblings, Jacqueline MacDonald (James), Eric Anderson (Barbara), Robert Anderson (Christine), Colin Anderson (Deborah), Cheryl Anderson, Craig Anderson (Barbara), and Scott Anderson (Lois). She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held at the families convenience.
