Donalynn Frances Cote (Tierney), 80, of Wallingford, CT, passed away on January 9th, 2024, at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden after years of living with an illness before succumbing to covid.
Donalynn was born in Meriden, CT on May 28th of 1943 to the late father, Donald Francis Tierney and late mother, Blanchette Tierney (Menard). She grew up in Storrs, CT, and graduated from E.O. Smith High School. She then met the love of her life while catering an event at a French club, got married, and moved to Wallingford. She worked at the Casual Corner clothing store in the Meriden Mall for years. She loved to read and made the best Swedish meatballs.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jean Edouard Cote, after 61 years of marriage. In addition, she also leaves behind her three children, Michael Cote, Daniel Cote, and Laura Hugo (Cote); her grandchildren Makayla Hugo, Mathieu Cote, Erin Cote, and Savannah Cote.
In honor of her wishes, no services will be held. Donalynn will be laid to rest by Abbey Funeral Home and Cremation services at Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, CT.
