Donna D’Amico of Clinton CT died of a heart attack on Wednesday December 16, 2020, while at Yale New Haven Hospital. Donna was the wife of Darrell Thomas D’Amico they shared 43 years of marriage together.

Born on September 12, 1957, Bronx NY, she was the daughter of the late Elsa Marcuccilli and the late Robert Caporale and her Step Mother the late Mary Jane Caporale. She graduated in Class of 1975 from Westbrook Highschool in CT.

Donna had many accomplishments in her life her the biggest was her family whom she loved and was proud of very much. Donna was loved by so many people she met in her life and was blessed with some amazing friendships like with Connie and Richard Altmannsbergerr who was like a sister to her.

Donna was a kind and loving person who would give her shirt off her back if you needed it, if you needed a place to stay, she took you in no questions asked. She had such a big heart. She loved the outdoors always having family picnics at Chatfield Hallow or camping with her family and friends up in the White Mountains every summer. Her favorite place to go was Santa’s Village. She loved going for walks at Hammonassett State Park where she spent a lot of time as a child, she enjoyed her evening rides with her husband at the Beach counting bunnies. It was the small things she loved the most. Like playing cards with Connie and Richie and Darrell whenever they came down from Main, they would play for hours. She was happiest on Sunday nights when her children and their families would come for Sunday Dinner, she always loved seeing her grandchildren play.

Donna was survived by her Husband Darrell and all her children, her son Darrell D’Amico Jr. And his wife Miranda, her only daughter Jackie D’Amico, her son Raymond D’Amico and his wife Dawn, and her son Christopher D’Amico and his wife Joeleen. She had also left behind all her grandchildren, Dakota, Nicholas, and Delilah Walden, Rob Russo, Sky and Nicholas Freeman, Aria D’Amico, Alexis Urban, and Mersadie and Paris D’Amico. She also left behind two Great grandchildren, Autumn and Bently Lyford. She also left her pets she loved very much Lightning Boy, Trixie, Rain, Stewie, and can’t forget her Birds and the Goldfish.

Donna also left behind five Siblings, her Sisters Ginnie Marcuccilli, Lisa Marcuccilli, Stephanie Helie, Deborah Welch, and her Brother Robert Caporale. Donna had many nieces and nephews she also left behind.

Instead of services the family will be doing a Celebration of Life memorial in the spring at her favorite place Chatfield Hallow. As It gets closer to spring the family will announce when it will be held and all are welcome.
