Dora Lee (Tenney) Hartford (69) of Ellington, Connecticut passed away on April 23, 2024 after a brief illness. Dora was born in Keene, New Hampshire to Harold and Merylin (Tenney) Kubicki on September 15, 1954. After graduating from high school, Dora went on to become a dairy farmer. She loved Ayrshire cattle and was dedicated to breeding the best cattle possible. She and her family traveled all over the country with their award winning cattle. In her 50’s, Dora became an amateur bodybuilder and competed in multiple shows. She won several competitions in New England. Later in life, Dora went back to school to become a Medical Billing Coder and graduated in the top of her class. Dora strove to be the best at everything she did. She took great pride in her accomplishments. Of all her accomplishments, she was most proud of her daughter, Darcie. She was kind, caring,
compassionate, and welcoming to everyone she met.
Dora is survived by her daughter, Darcie Hartford and daughter-in-law Nanci, her sisters Donna (Shawn) Reynolds and Debora Philbrook, her nieces Jordan, Kelsie, Jamie, and Danelle, her nephew Benjamin, and many great nieces and nephews.
