Eileen R. Fowler from Portland, previously from Colchester, Eastham, and Cheshire. Eileen was born in New Haven to Benjamin and Susan Rumbin on July 7, 1945, and was one of their eight children. She was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 56 years, Burt Fowler. The family takes great comfort in knowing they are together again.

Eileen worked alongside Burt in the family business, Fowler Jewelers, for more than 20 years. Upon retirement, she bought and sold antiques/collectibles in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. Eileen and Burt loved to treasure hunt together.

Eileen was a wonderful hostess, always finding a way to make delicious meals for guests despite claiming to hate to cook. She created cross-stitch treasures for family and friends, knitted and donated thousands of winter hats, made beautiful blankets, and more. She was talented, generous, and thoughtful to all in her life.

Her greatest love was family, and she devoted her life to showing her love to them. Whether it was making a favorite food, finding the perfect gift, or just being present for them, Eileen made everyone feel special and important.

She leaves her son Brett and daughter-in-law Ann of Cheshire, and daughter Kristy and her husband Barry of Spring Hill, Tennessee. She was “Nonnie” to Ryan, Ashley, Juliette, Owen, Heather, Bentley, Eric, Alec, Sophia, Reilly, and Hannah. Eileen was predeceased by her great-granddaughter Reagan Jean. She also leaves behind many close and dear friends whom she loved very much.

Services for Eileen will be private. Donations in her memory may be made to:
