Elizabeth Jacobs Baranski, 89, of Newington, passed away on November 15, at home after a short illness. Born in Hartford, CT , Elizabeth grew up in West Hartford and then moved to Newington. She was the daughter of Samuel and Rebecca Jacobs.
She worked for several years at Travelers, as well as Phillips Electronics. During her retirement , she enjoyed time with her family, being around her home and cooking her special Assyrian recipes. She always enjoyed doing for others and she loved her sweets. She also loved feeding the wild birds in her yard. She was an avid cable news watcher.
She is survived by her daughter, Joanne , of Amston, and her partner Don, and her son Michael, of Cromwell, and his partner Brenda, along with her two grandsons, Michael and Nicholas.
She also leaves behind, several nieces and nephews, and friends from over the years and also her cat, Isabella. She was pre-deceased by her brothers William, James, Raymond, and Edward .
She will be greatly missed. According to her wishes, there will be no calling hours, and there will be a private funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held on a future date. A special thanks goes out to the Hospice program. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Connecticut Humane Society or the donors choice.

Such a wonderful woman that I was blessed to have known. I cannot say enough good things about her. She was often in my thoughts and always will have a special place in my heart.
