Emelinda “Linda” Bernas Wytas, 72 years old of Stafford Springs, CT

Passed away peacefully at Saint Francis Hospital on February 16, 2024

She was born in Naga City, Philippines on January 1, 1952.

Since retirement, she enjoyed her time with family, friends, and her predeceased dog Maggie. She liked cooking for family, lunch dates with her girlfriends, playing Texas hold’em Poker, and going out to Bingo.

Linda’s family and friends like to describe her as loving, caring, thoughtful, genuine, totally selfless, always thinking of others and a true spitfire.

Linda met her husband Alan in 1973 while he was serving in the Philippines for the US Navy. They made their home in Stafford Springs, CT in April of 1976. After 50 years of marriage, she leaves behind her husband Alan Wytas and their three children, her daughter Roseann and her husband Tanaka Boldin and their son Kalvin Boldin; her daughter Angela Zbierski and her children Morgan and her husband Michael Evans, Abigail Graef, and Dylan Wytas; and her son Richard Wytas and his son Alan Wytas. She is also survived by three Great Grandchildren Lillinonah Bagley, Colton Evans, and Michael Evans Jr. She also leaves behind many brothers and sisters in law; James and Leigh Wytas; Gary Wytas; Clarence Jr. and Mary Wytas; Wayne and Hillary Wytas; Cheryl Muska; Kevin Wytas and Lisa and Donald Bessette Jr.  and several nieces, nephews, and family in the Philippines.

Services will be private for the family and a celebration of life will be held to honor the memory of Linda in the Spring/Summer 2024.
