Eugene A. Misiewicz




Eugene A. Misiewicz (62) was called to the Lord on June 2, 2024. He was born and raised in Hartford, CT and spent the majority of his life in Newington, CT where he passed. He was the husband of the late Charlene (Havanec) Misiewicz, father of Emily (Misiewicz) Mello and father-in-law of Brandyn Mello, grandfather of Athena, Joseph, and Logan. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his parents Eugene F. And Emily Misiewicz, siblings Barbara Ann and Eugene Jr., his aunt Anne Golasz, and his niece Whitney Misiewicz. He is survived by his siblings Stephen (Elizabeth) Misiewicz, Jenine (David) Lemkin, Barbara (Fred) Ferdiani, Joseph (Julie) Misiewicz, Joan Misiewicz, and John (Rhonda) Misiewicz, as well as, former sister-in-law Melinda Misiewicz, his siblings-in-law by marriage, his nieces and nephews, and two lifelong friends John Sawicki and John Nozka. Heaven has gained a dedicated Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Vikings fan, a lover of fishing, and an enthusiastic singer of Tubthumping by Chambawamba, Godzilla by the Blue Oyster Cult, the Letter sang by Joe Cocker, and some Fleetwood Mac hits, among other catchy tunes. He also spent time employed as a machinist. A memorial mass will be held at a date to be determined and a private burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in Eugene’s name to a near and dear organization of choice or to the family to assist with burial related expenses, directed to Emily Mello.
