Eugene Lightfeather (Moore)
1942 - 2022
Gene passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 17 2022
He was best known for his love of country music 🎶 being a huge fan of Willie Nelson.
You could find him sitting with his radio in the early mornings listening to music surrounded by his bird's and kitty's while enjoying a cup of coffee and making two pancakes.
Gene was a traveler in his younger years. After his service time in the U.S. Army he would travel from east coast to west coast regularly, never knowing where or when he would show up. Spending some time in Arizona where he would be adopted by the Lakota Tribe.
Later he would settle in Winsted, CT where his love of playing guitar landed him at chestnut Grove singing Saturday evenings, sometimes with his sister Lorraine Morey, and other friends.
In his final years he pretty much stayed close to home and started building guitar's.
He left behind a beautiful collection of hand built guitar's. His prize being his ( Amanda Lynn)
Gene was most happy outdoors with nature and his love for the superstition mountains he would tell many stories of his travel there.
Gene leaves behind a Daughter Trudy Morris in Lufkin tx. and long time companion Carmela Reagan in Winsted CT and numerous family members
