Euripides Vidal, 71, passed away peacefully at home on October 17, 2025, in Newington, Connecticut, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Colombia on November 11, 1953, Euripides built a life grounded in hard work, compassion, and unwavering faith. In 2017, he fulfilled a lifelong dream when he immigrated to the United States to reunite with his daughter and grandchildren.
Admired for his integrity, courage, and determination, Euripides worked tirelessly throughout his life and always faced challenges with grace. He found joy in music, deep conversations, and watching soccer, but his greatest happiness came from time spent with his family. His love of watches, jewelry, and framing reflected his appreciation for craftsmanship, precision, and the beauty found in meaningful details.
Euripides is survived by his daughter, Vanessa Rivera, his beloved grandchildren, his sister and brothers, and many family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A funeral mass to honor Euripides’s life will be held on Monday, November 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Church in Hartford, CT, followed by burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Glastonbury, CT. All who knew and loved him are welcome to join in celebrating his life and the love he shared so generously with others.
Euripides will be remembered for his devoted heart, his quiet strength, and the deep love he had for his family. His memory will continue to guide and inspire those who had the blessing of knowing him.
