Frances Marie (Kasulis) Banning, 80 of Vernon, Connecticut, beloved wife of 59 years to Ronald E. Banning passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 23, 2021.
Frances was born on August 4, 1942 in Hartford, Connecticut to the late Joseph Kasulis and Thelma (Smith) Leonard. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family and the ocean. Frances was a 1959 graduate of Simsbury High School and soon after graduating went to work at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford. It was there that she met and fell in love with her future husband Ronald. She later worked for Alca Construction Company, Inc. for 32 years until her retirement on October 31, 2017. She was a dedicated member of South United Methodist Church in Manchester.
Frances is survived by her husband Ronald Banning, daughter Karen Banning-Hills, grandchildren Heather Hills, Austin Hills and great granddaughter Sophia Hills all of Vernon. She also leaves behind her siblings, Shirley (Jack) Polishook, Frederick (Donna) Kasulis, Lucia Kasulis, Nancy Sutton and William (Christine) Kasulis. She was pre-deceased by her brother Andrew Kasulis. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, godchildren and close friends that are also considered family.
At Frances's wishes, there will be no public memorial service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to the donor's choice.
