Francis William Doucette Jr.

Francis William Doucette Jr., known to those who knew him as Bill, 76 of Uncasville, CT beloved son, husband, father and brother passed away Tuesday August 5 2025 at home after a long-fought battle with cancer.  He was born on October 16, 1948 in Bristol, CT.  He was the son of the late Francis W. Doucette Sr. and Cindy (Gillis) Doucette Sirianni.

Bill grew up in Bristol and graduated from Bristol Eastern High School and Northwest Community College.  He was a Vietnam War Army veteran.  He loved the outdoors and animals.  He was an amazing artist.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Mercelina Doucette, his children Cameron Doucette of Texas, Cody Doucette and his husband Vincent Noether-Banyon and daughter Kayleen Doucette of Norwich.  His sisters Michele Allen of Bristol and Francine Keynejad and her husband Barry of NY and several nieces and a nephew.

Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his son Ian Gardiner.

The family will hold a private celebration of Bill’s life at a later date.
