Frank L. Basoli, Jr., 77, of Terryville, Connecticut passed away at home on April 30, 2026. He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts where he attended local schools. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he befriended Todd Baldwin. Through that close friendship Frank became the pen pal of his future wife, Janice.
Prior to his retirement in 2014, Frank was employed by Drawn Metal Tube in Thomaston and the Plymouth Board of Education. He was a lifelong sports fan, particularly following Boston and UConn teams, NCAA football, hockey and NASCAR. Hockey was his true passion having played since childhood. He also loved fishing, music and constantly making jokes!
Besides Jan, his wife of 50 years, Frank leaves the light of his life, his daughter, Erica. Also sharing in his loss are family members Pam and Bill Brown, Barbara Sekorski, their children and grandchildren. Frank adored his in-laws and many nephews and nieces. He also leaves his four-legged sidekick Maggie May and grand pup Penny. Frank is also survived by his sisters, Sheila Buell of Dayton, Nevada; Sharon Basoli (Phil) of Guilford, Vermont; Sandy Russell of Port Charlotte, Florida; and his brother David Basoli (Carol) of Upton, Massachusetts.
The family extends special thanks to Bristol Home Care and Hospice and their many dear friends and neighbors for their ongoing support and caring.
A celebration of life will be held at Wood Acres in Terryville on June 14th from 12 to 3p.m.

Frank was a great man with a good heard and soul.... we weren't extremely close but I always liked his sharp wit and sense of humor. I'll always remember the wedding in 1974? And the Blue Beetle! I hope you are at peace and I'll see you again someday...... God Bless
Mike 😌
