Frank Maudsley Amazeen III




July 25, 1945 - January 2, 2025 

Frank Amazeen,79 years of age, formerly of Wakefield, MA passed away peacefully after a short illness on January 2, 2025 at his West Hartford home surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born in Boston, MA on July 25, 1945 to the late Frank M.  and June (Graves) Amazeen. He proudly graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with his BS in mechanical engineering. Frank was employed by Chandler Evans in West Hartford, CT for 45 years. He served as a project engineer leading the design of airplane fuel pumps and other aircraft mechanical devices. After his retirement, he spent time relaxing with family and friends. He remained in contact with colleagues and enjoyed their monthly lunches. Frank took up photography in retirement and liked photographing wildlife, especially birds. Frank was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of West Hartford and was actively involved in supporting several church committees. He willingly gave his time serving others as a member of not-for profit boards including the Charter Oak Photography Society and the Connecticut Baptist Homes.  Frank was happiest spending time with his wife and family. He enjoyed outings and family events. He will be missed and always in our memories. 

Frank was predeceased by his beloved mother June Amazeen and his father Frank M. Amazeen. Pamela (Scavo) Amazeen was his loving wife of 35 years. Supportive father to his son Eric Amazeen of AZ, daughter Sarah Mento and her Husband Alec Mento of PA. He enjoyed his stepchildren, Chris Vitti of Granby, CT, Sharon Vitti of Newton, MA and predeceased Micheal Vitti of NY, NY. He shared a close bond with his siblings Cheryl Brissette of NY, Karen Sprowl of NY, Ted Amazeen of MA and his wife Joyce Amazeen. He was the proud Grandfather/Poppi of his grandchildren Sophia and Andrew Amazeen and his step grandchildren Andrew, Estelle, Charlotte and Bryce Cadrain and Christian and Gabrielle Vitti. Frank was also blessed with several nieces and nephews.

We will always remember Frank Amazeen III as a good man that was loving, kind and enjoyed talking with people. We are planning a celebration of Frank’s life soon.
