George Kevalas

George Kevalas, 74, of North Haven CT, passed away peacefully at Connecticut Hospice on May 17, 2026. He dedicated his life to being a guidance counselor  and was beloved by many students. He will be remembered as a man of few words who was filled with wit and wisdom. The stories he told were nothing short of unbelievable. He was kind soul who would make friends out of strangers. We will miss the fresh vegetables from his garden which he loved to tend to and he will be remembered through his many artworks which will be cherished forever.

He is survived by his daughters Katie and Jill (Anthony Matarese) Kevalas, his sister Alberta (Robert) Mirer and nieces and nephews who all loved him very much.

He will be reunited with his wife Rhonda, sister Kathleen, brother John, his parents John and Ann and many friends who have passed before him.

Friends and family are welcome to join a memorial service on Friday June 5, 2026 at 2pm at Montowese Baptist Church 201 Quinnipiac Avenue North Haven, Ct 06473.
