George L. Ducharme, 78, of East Hampton, CT passed away unexpectedly on August 10, 2023 after a brief illness.
George was born to George A. and Edna (née Adams) Ducharme on July 4th, 1945 in Lowell, MA.
George grew up in North Chelmsford, MA, graduating from Chelmsford High School in 1963. After high school he worked as an auto mechanic, while also drag-racing part time in a 1955 Chevrolet shared with friend Mike Hogan, earning his 100mph patch from New England Dragway.
After marrying and settling in Plainville, CT, he worked at Trumpf in Farmington as a technical writer, while raising his family.
Later in life, he moved to East Hampton, CT where he worked part-time at the Bevin Bell company, and making many new friends along the way.
He also loved oldies music, playing guitar, tinkering in the garage, growing vegetables in his garden, and cooking.
George is survived by his son, Michael & daughter, Heather. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Ducharme, brother Mark Ducharme (and Patti), brother Dennis Ducharme (and Wendy), sister Leah Manchester (and Glenn), and sister Patricia Ruelle (and Al), in addition to many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents George A. & Edna Ducharme.
