In loving memory of Gina Megquier, age 86, who passed away on December 23, 2020 in Bristol, CT with her family by her side.
Gina lived in New Britain most of her life and was the daughter of Orlando and Viola Lestini. She was predeceased by her brothers, Herman, Joe and Louie Lestini.
Anyone who knew her knows what a beautiful soul she was. The most loving, caring and incredibly beautiful woman inside and out. Her reason for living was her love and devotion to her family. There were so many family gatherings, dinners, playing cards and laughter.
She especially enjoyed her trips to Mohegan Sun to spend hours playing blackjack. Her other passions were playing cards and watching the Boston Red Sox. She was the rock of our family, the bright light that held us all together.
Gina is survived by her daughter and boyfriend, Doreen Campanelli (Chiger) and Roy Franco, her daughter and son- in- law Vicki and Jerry Luponio and her son Danny DiPierdomenico.
She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Jared and Rachel Rouleau, Bryan Rouleau and his fiancée Marina, Jessica and Nick Lanigan, Sydney Luponio, Sarah and Jeffrey McCabe, Jason Campanelli, Keegan Scelia, Gregg Franco and Ryan Franco and his fiancée Rachel. She had 11 great grandchildren whom she adored.
We also want to thank the staff at Ingraham Manor in Bristol for all they did for our mom. Especially near the end. They provided so much incredible support to make her stay there as comfortable as it can be and to help us through these past 9 months. Their support and compassion were immeasurable, and we will always be grateful.
At her request, there will be no services or calling hours.
