Hanna (Lang) McLaughlin, age 47, of Bristol, CT, passed away at John Dempsey Hospital on January 2, 2024. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1976 to Jonathan and Linda Lang. Hanna graduated from Riverview High School in Oakmont, PA. She attended Indiana Bible College in Indianapolis, IN, where she studied music.
It was there that Hanna met the love of her life, Kirk McLaughlin. They were married on May 29, 1999.
In 2003, their family grew with the birth of their only child, a son, Noah.
Along the way, Hanna’s love for animals added to the family. There were the cats, Belle and Simon, and the dogs, Jules, and Loki.
Family was especially important to Hanna. She enjoyed spending time with all her nieces and nephews, babysitting for many children, and loving life. Some of her favorite times were spent gathered around a bonfire with her brothers and sister laughing as they reminisced about their childhood. Her love of family and music were the things that drove her through her lengthy battle with MS.
Hanna is survived by her husband, Kirk McLaughlin; son, Noah McLaughlin; father, Jonathan Lang; sister, Mary Lang; brothers, Tim Lang, his wife, Katie, children, Garrett, Greyson, Owen, Olivia, Noah, Isaiah; JJ Lang, his wife, Anita, children, Savannah, Wyatt, Samuel; Andy Lang, children, Elijah, Joshua, Ahlainna, Jacob, Cullen, Larkin; father-in-law, Homer McLaughlin; brothers-in-law, Scott McLaughlin; Kent McLaughlin, his wife, Heidi, children, Jamin (wife Nicole), Carley, Damian, Rhylee; sister-in-law, Marcia Ramirez, her husband, Efrain, children, Brianna (husband Brian), EJ, Angel, Xavier, Noel, Philip (wife Veronica), Molly; great nieces and nephews, Landon, Ariana, Bentley, Maddix, Cameron, Roman, TJ, Genesis, Julien, Adrien.
Hanna loved music, and teaching and playing the piano was her expression of that love. As a member of First Pentecostal Church, Torrington, CT, Hanna was an active part of the music ministry.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4 PM on January 7, 2024, at Heritage United Pentecostal Church, 48 Lewis Street, Bristol, CT. The service will be available for viewing on the Heritage UPC YouTube channel.

Sorry we cannot make the funeral due to the storm. Please know our prayers are with you Kirk and Noah. It is so comforting to know this world is just the vestibule to life.
