Stockinger, Hans, age 65, of West Haven, the beloved husband to Susanne (Lampke) Stockinger, passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 6, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Munich, Germany on November 29, 1958. He immigrated to Canada in 1960 and later moved Shelton in 1963. In 1977 he met the love of his life, Susi while German dancing (Schuhplattlering). In 1991, they welcomed their pride and joy Christian. Hans started out as a mechanic at Volkswagen and later became an auto body technician at Center Auto Body. When not working you could find him playing video games, golfing, bowling, fixing up his car, or spending time with friends and family. He is survived by his wife Susi, son Christian, sister Karin (Bob) Merrill, mother-in-law Ursula Lampke, sister-in-law Barbara (Thomas) Vollano, niece Amanda Vollano, and nephew Nicolas Vollano. Hans was predeceased by his parents Johann and Rosa Maria (Hopps) Stockinger and father-in-law Burkhart Lampke. A celebration of life will be held at the Harugari German Club 66 Highland Street, West Haven, CT 06516 at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Harugari German Club.
