Heather "Bonnie" Cropley-Pelletier, 76, of Torrington, Connecticut, passed away on August 25, 2025. Born on September 26, 1948, in Hartford, she was the only child of Robert C. and Rosemary (Miller) Hearn.
Heather spent her early years in East Hartford and graduated from George J. Penney High School. She lived for many years on Maple Street in East Hartford before settling in Lebanon, where she raised her three children on Amston Lake.
Her dedication to education and community was evident through her work as a teacher’s aide at Lebanon Elementary School, where she left a lasting impression on students and coworkers.
After her time in Lebanon, Heather married Norman Pelletier and shared a loving marriage with him until his passing in 1993.
She later continued her professional journey as a pharmacy technician at Stop & Shop Pharmacy, where her kindness was deeply valued.
A woman of faith, Heather was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Lebanon for many years. Her involvement brought her strength and connection throughout her life.
Heather had a passion for reading, walking, musicals, Nascar, the NY Yankees, WWII history, and solving New York Times crossword puzzles.
She was a devoted and loving mother to Terri Coffey and her husband James of Torrington, Tracey Cropley of Manchester; and Mark Cropley and his wife Brooke of Salem. The loves of her life - granddaughters, Heather Swenson and her husband Walter of Greenville, Tennessee, and Olivia Nicole Taylor of Ballston Spa, New York. Her great-grandchildren—Krystal Minto, Ava Swenson, Damon Swenson, and Athena Swenson—brought immense happiness to her life. Heather also shared a special bond with her goddaughter Kerri Caronongan of Georgia, Daniel Wood of Greenville, TN and Thomas Bohuslaw of Colchester, CT.
She was predeceased by her husband Norman Pelletier; former husband John V. Cropley; their newborn son John V. Cropley Jr.; and lifelong friend and "sister" Judy Lucia.
There will be no services.
