Hilda Lewis

Our Mom Hilda Lewis (Jalbert) passed peacefully in her sleep October 11th 2026 at the age of 95. She was a loving mother, wife and sister. She was preceded in passing by her husband Erwin Lewis, her oldest daughter Brenda Lewis, her daughter Debra Lewis and her oldest son Jeffery Lewis. She is survived by her two remaining children Boyd Lewis and partner Barbara Winslow and Darrell Lewis and wife Angela, grandchildren Amanda and Jameson, also by her sisters Erlene and Teresa. She lived in New Britain Connecticut most of her life. Mom was born in Caribou, Maine to a family of 14 children. Her father and mother raised all of them with love and the quiet lessons of life that made strong and wonderful adults. She passed those lessons on to her children. She demonstrated that strength throughout her life and especially with the loss of her husband and three of her children. She was funny and loving till her passing. Mom did not want a service, instead a donation to a local animal shelter would honor her love of animals. May God wrap his arms around her and welcomed her home to be with all her loved ones she has missed all these years.
