Ingrid Lovisa Vikstrom Traber, born 02/28/1923 Jukkasjarvi, Sweden, died 01/21/2019 at Middlesex Hospital, Middletown, CT. She was the daughter of the late Johan and Syster Febe (Jacobson) Vikstorm.
Ingrid came to the United States at age 2 with her mother and older brother Carl and lived in Michigan. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband Melville C Traber, son Carl W. Traber, brothers Carl Erik, John Arthur, Fritz Bertil, Sven Herbert and sisters Svea Margaret Heinrich and Ruth J Meyers.
She is survived by brothers Robert N., Dennis G and sister Mary Zurakowski. She is greatly mourned by her surviving children, Mel Traber, Jr and his wife Debra, Todd Traber (and his dear friend Laura Donovan) and her only daughter Margaret (Maggi) Traber. She adored her grandchildren, Heidi, Justina and Joshua Traber.
In 1969 she moved to Marlborough, CT and remained an active member of the Senior community for many years She had a wicked sense of humor, a zest for life and all its adventures. She loved her Lord and gave thanks to him daily for his support and blessings. She will be sorely missed.
