On October 10, 2022 at Ct Hospice, Irene G. Canepari Berta, 76 peacefully passed away surrounded by her family. Irene was born on May 16th, 1946 in New Haven, CT. She grew up in Woodbridge, CT. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister and Aunt. She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick Canepari, Louise Novella Canepari and her late husband Gerald Berta. Irene is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Trasacco, Jocelyn McQuillan both of Shelton, grandson Jeffrey Mcquillan, sister Lucille Gambardella, nieces Tricia Calabrese and Danielle Lavorante great nieces Paige and Kayla and Great nephew, Benjamin and Brandon.
Irene retired from the State of CT after 34 years of service. She worked for the lottery division and loved her co-workers and retailers. She loved to go treasure hunting, dancing, the casino and spending time with her family. She was a warm and compassionate spirit and was loved by all that met her.
A memorial service will be on Monday Oct 23rd 10 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Woodbridge, CT.
