James P. Castelli, 41, died at his home in Waterford, CT in August 2022. James was raised in Farmington, CT and graduated from Farmington High School in 1999. He was a generous person with a great sense of humor. James excelled at every sport he played and was a dedicated fan of his beloved NY Yankees. He was a born foodie who enjoyed cooking for others. James was an accomplished poker player and even earned a poker room jacket for getting a royal flush at Foxwoods. He liked to travel and spend time fishing on Martha’s Vineyard.
He is survived by his mother, Paula Castelli, of Punta Gorda, FL; father, Donald Castelli, of Punta Gorda, FL; sisters Sarah Castelli and her husband, Brian Bouchard, of Unionville, CT; Molly Castelli Sawrun and her husband, Dereck Sawrun, of Venice, FL; niece Clementine Sawrun; aunt and uncle, Karen and Robert Nolan, of Rotunda West, FL; cousin, Jeffrey Brushie and his family, of San Diego, CA; and devoted friend Stephanie Koegler and her family, of Madison, CT.
