James R. Brennan

The song has ended for James R. Brennan, 75, on March 28, 2024.

He was a multi-talented artist who has left with family and friends many memories through paintings, hand-drawn holiday cards, writings, and musical compositions. He never stopped writing music as long as he was able.

His musical history began in the public school system where he became a proficient trumpeter. After increasing his musical understanding and ability at Berklee School of Music and during a brief stint in the US Navy band, he taught himself guitar, jamming with his basement bands, annoying neighbors but exciting and inspiring others. In more recent years he played at an area pizza shop with a friend as Rhythm Acoustic.

He is survived by his siblings Robert, Nancy, Patricia Bergquist (Robert), Barbara Gorneault (Donald), Michael (Christine), and Jeanne Coleman (Don) who deeply feel his loss; as do his nieces and nephews Melinda and Shane Gorneault and Kiersten Bergquist, also Joshua Neubelt, Justin, Jonathan, and Amanda Brennan, Lucas and Andrea Maloney and their families, and his dear One of oneness. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Richard.

The family welcomes friends to join them in honoring an Underestimated Artist during a summer gathering.
