He enjoyed telling jokes, bringing laughter to every room, family cookouts, a friendly game of poker, or quiet moments with his dog Katie. One of his favorite bands was America, and the song A Horse with No Name held a special place in his heart, reflecting the steady and thoughtful spirit that defined him.

Handy Jr. and wife Lynda, Jody Iannone and husband Ernie, and John Handy and partner Angela Contillo; his son-in-law, Tony Palardy Sr.; his siblings, Harry Handy and Linda Appell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life:A small, private family gathering will be held. Information regarding a larger Celebration of Life this summer will be shared later.
James’s life was a testament to love, loyalty, and kindness. He will be remembered fondly for his humor, warmth, and the joy he shared with all who knew him.
