Jean A. (Lyman) Switzer, 83, of Hebron, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021
after a brief illness. She was born on August 4, 1937, and grew up in
Marlborough.
Jean was employed as a secretary for a home builder/realtor in Bolton for over
50 years. She enjoyed her job and continued to work into her eighties. She will be
greatly missed by members of the family business for which she worked.
Jean was a loving mother, family member and friend to all that had the
extraordinary fortune to be touched by her life! For many years she enjoyed
snowmobiling and ATV riding. Her greatest joy was spending time in the pool with
her grandchildren. They all treasured time spent with their “Nan”. Jean loved
music and planning parties!
Jean is survived by her daughters Roxanne Oakley and husband Tom, Tammey
Keyes and husband Ken, grandchildren Robert and Jennifer Foote, Kendra and
Mark Oakley, Benjamin, Jacob and Anna Keyes and great-granddaughter Madalyn
Foote. She also leaves in-laws Steve and Sally Young and Nancy Lyman, cousin
Marie Arico as well as her closest friends for over sixty years, Dottie and Dick
Bergeron, and Robert “Brud” Miner who was like a son to Jean.
Jean was predeceased by her husband Robert G. Switzer and daughter
Kimberley J. Foote.
To honor Jean’s request, there will be no calling hours or services at this time.
Please remember Jean for her amazing warmth and compassion for one and all.
She is now in heaven with our dad, her “Special Angel”.
